May 2023 – Our Tron 60AIS EPIRB has obtained Japanese-type approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure Transport and Tourism (MLIT). This is an important milestone for us, we are now exclusively the only manufacturer able to deliver an AIS EPIRB to the Japanese market.
Today, as the first-ever manufacturer outside of Japan, we are delighted to inform you that based on our MLIT approval, we plan to start delivering our Tron 60AIS to Japan during 2023. This has been a very exciting journey for us since the beginning of 2022. Through this process, we have shared technical information, participated in regular meetings, and shipped test products from Norway to Japan.
We are fortunate to have support from a local Japanese partner. They have been an integral part of this approval process by, representing Jotron and helping us attain this necessary approval.
