Coastal and marine safety communication

Flexible coastal safety communication technology for an increasing number of markets

The Jotron air traffic control radios have been successfully merged into the marine communication markets.  Since 2008, Jotron has been manufacturing and supplying coastal radio systems. Both the standard and wideband versions of the costal radio are based on the 7000 series ATC radio and feature full voice over IP functionality. The Jotron VHF Coastal Radio is in use at coastal stations worldwide ensuring coastal safety communication between stations and ships. Jotron radios have a reputation for outstanding performance in harsh environmental conditions. This combined with the success of the 7000 series radio makes this coastal radio the perfect solution for high quality FM voice communication and digital selective calling.

Vessel traffic service (VTS) systems control centers handle extensive traffic management in busy ports, waterways and coastal areas. The harbour and port authorities have enhanced navigational safety at VTS through the use of this radio.

Recording for reconstruction and analyzes of critical marine traffic situations

The Ricochet recording system is used by the marine markets and vessel traffic. This recorder can be fully integrated with all Jotron radios. By instant synchronous replay access and integrated replay, all port administrators, port authorities, coast guards and search and rescue services can reproduce any scenario that occurs. This ensures that improvements are implemented to avoid a similar incident in the future.
