Basically all remote products can be used with all Jotron radios with a few exceptions. The mobile radio, TR-810 can not be connected to the remote products. The 3000/4000 series UHF radio can be used together with ORC and DRC provided that you use a 60/15 pin adapter that has RS-485 signals available on the 15 pin side.
Antenna separation of 400-500 meters or more will be interference free. The exact distance depends on the operating frequencies and the output power from the transmitters.
Separation between the antennas is critical to avoid interference and blocking of the receiver. To minimize interference try to increase the distance between the receiver and transmitter antennas. Vertical distances between antennas are better than horizontal, since this gives better isolation between the antenna elements.
Be aware that if the antennas installed are rather close to i.e. a steel railing, building etc. This will disrupt the antenna diagram and give poor signals from transmissions in this direction. The antennas should be installed as high and free from any steel structures as possible.
If you still experience interference, the following can be done:
· Increase the antenna separation between the interfering radios
· Introduce extra cavity filters on the interfering radios
· Increase the "insertion loss" of the cavity filter already connected to the TR-75xx to increase Q factor of the filter.
The observed interference can be caused by other radio equipment transmitting in the area. To minimize interference, try to increase the distance between the receiver and transmitter antennas. Be aware that the vertical separation between the antennas is critical to avoid interference and blocking of the receiver. In order to avoid this, more separation may be required. If it is not possible to get more distance between the antennas, cavity filters may be required. The number of filters needed depends on all operating frequencies in the area, as well as where the antennas for the different channels are placed. It might be necessary with filters on both receiver and transmitters.
A path loss calculation will have to be conducted to give an exact range. The range depends on receiver antenna height, output power from the aircraft transmitter and the altitude of the aircraft (Line of Sight) and the sensitivity of the ground receiver.

ED137 protocol is an open protocol which is used to communicate with VCS systems.
Due to the fact that the transmitters are equipped with internal fans that gives better control of inside temperature.
For 7000 VHF and UHF radios, external fans are not required as long as ambient temperature in the cabinet is below 40 degrees Celsius. For systems with high power transmitters or power amplifiers, fans are recommended.
