How we follow regulations

Lithium batteries safety regulations and testing

Lithium batteries are classified as dangerous goods due to potential risks if not handled or transported correctly and we take this very seriously.

How we follow safety regulations and testing for lithium batteries

All our products contain either lithium batteries, Li-ion batteries or in some cases both. All the batteries we use comply with strict regulations for air, land, and sea transportation. These regulations include:

  • ICAO/IATA for air transport
  • ADR/RID for road and rail transport
  • IMDG Code for sea transport

Since safety and reliability are crucial for our products, we conduct rigorous testing on our batteries. These tests are in accordance with the UN manual of tests and criteria. This is how we ensure safe transport of our products, regardless of whether we send individual cells or within a device.

UN classifications:

The UN system classifies lithium batteries under specific categories depending on their type (primary or rechargeable) and design. These classifications: UN 3090/3091 for primary batteries and UN 3480/3481 for rechargeable batteries have corresponding packing instructions. All instructions guarantee the safe transportation of lithium batteries, as individual cells, within a product, or packed together with another product.

Handling of dangerous goods

Lithium batteries have transformed many of our products. We prioritize safety in all we do, and the handling, storage and usage of dangerous goods is no different.

All our lithium-powered products are delivered with the necessary dangerous goods documentation, upholding the highest security standards for your peace of mind. All our employees that either prepare the documents or package the goods have attended specific handling of dangerous goods training. Training is repeated every two years, and everyone must pass the IATA certified exam for handling shipments containing lithium batteries. Relevant documents are continuously updated and available for download under each product on our website.

We deliver safe and reliable power and transport of our devices, ensuring you a safe journey!
