Jotron - a member of ETSI

Jotron is a long-term member of the European Telecommunication Standardization Institute (ETSI), and participates in the development and maintenance of several standards related to VHF and UHF base stations.

Jotron - a member of Eurocae

Jotron is a member of Eurocae since 2010 and participates in Working Group67 (WG67) and its subgroups. In 2019, Jotron contributed to the final report “Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Interoperability Event (FAA VoIP-IE)”. WG-67 is responsible for developing and maintaining several standards related to the implementation of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) in air traffic management (ATM), including:

• ED-136 (VoIP in ATM, operational and technical requirements)
• ED-137 volume 1 (Radio)
• ED-137 volume 2 (Telephone)
• ED-137 volume 4 (Recorder)
• ED-137 volume 5 (Supervision)
• ED-138 (VoIP in ATM, network requirements)

Jotron - a member of the Eurocontrol VOTE

Since 2012, Jotron is a member of the Eurocontrol VOTE (VoIP Implementation and Transition Expert Group). The VOTE group addresses implementation and transition-related issues regarding VoIP in ATM on a case-by-case basis and provides recommendations to interested parties. As part of the VOTE group, Jotron is actively involved in refining and validating the VOTER test tool used to verify the VoIP implementation in products.
